Part of the narcissism and personality disorder that is Adam Shriver, Washington University's favorite adjunct blogger, is both his inability to take a joke and his obsessive focus on your friends at Insurgent Visuals.
Since we have day jobs, we don't post every day like Adam. Since we released the content to the Breitbart team, we let them run with the story and handle it their way. But to Adam Shriver, that just shows that we're liars, Shriver's just insane. His complaints make no sense. He repeats charges over and over, to make the 'big lie' true simply through repetition.
You can almost picture him, alone, in a relative's basement, or sipping latte at a Starbucks, saying "they're liars!" over and over in his head until it's true.
Adam is apparently also upset that he can't stalk our team's female members. So, we temporarily changed our profile pictures. Perhaps he'll have an easier time finding us now that we've used our real pictures on our about page.
In the meantime, if you have serious inquiries or questions, email us at insurgentvisuals@gmail.com
Oh, and for as much as Shriver wants to distract to issues of website design, profile pictures, tineye, etc., the central point in the UMKC violence videos, which was always in context, which no amount of left-wing spin can change, is that Judy Ancel said that violence is a tactic to be used when appropriate in politics, Don Giljum bragged about industrial sabotage and starting riots, and students at several colleges in Missouri were indoctrinated into radical left-wing political violence.

James O'Keefe, around every corner for Adam Shriver
Adam Shriver, in the previously mentioned whiny blog post, claims that since we didn't explicitly deny O'Keefe's involvement in this project, he must be involved. Because we don't have a triplicate-stamped, notarized copy from O'Keefe denying his involvement, clearly he's involved.
For whatever reason, James O'Keefe makes the left in this country irrationally mad. During a time of triumph, Obama's 2008 election, O'Keefe brought the scandal and disgust of left-wing organizing into the light. For that, he will never be forgiven. For that, they will look at every flipcam and wonder if O'Keefe's fingerprints are on it.
Yes, Adam Shriver, you have figured us all out. Adam Shriver, from your laptop in Starbucks, you have uncovered video Watergate, and single-handedly brought down the Breitbart media empire by making false accusations that James O'Keefe is running every center-right video project.
James O'Keefe is our secret father-guide who steers our projects and decides our content. We learn our tactics from him, we learn how to live from him. We have all internalized his lengthy biography, and constantly quote him to one another. James is our guiding light, our father-leader. He is what Obama and Noam Chomsky are to you, all in one.
Everything we do, we owe to James, and everything you say is correct. We are all pregnant with the children of O'Keefe, waiting to birth his video children and unleash them upon Philosophy adjuncts like yourself.
In a way, we are all James O'Keefe. In a way, none of us are James O'Keefe.

Adam Shriver: Often Wrong but Never in Doubt
Shriver whines and bemoans the fact that we just won't lay down and let him lie lie lie.
Shriver, the self-appointed media political officer/commissar of south St. Louis, says we were "busted" by Crooks and Liars and Media Matters, two organizations heavy on spin and light on substance.
Then the tired meme of "selective editing" came back up, even though we released the transcript and, surprise surprise, it doesn't help Judy, Don or Adam. Here's the old article for reference:
http://bigjournalism.com/insurgentvisuals/2011/05/05/u-of-missouri-epic-fail-no-amount-of-context-can-defend-judy-ancel/
But here's Shriver's pathetic point: distract and deflect from what Judy Ancel and Don Giljum said:
EVEN JUDY DOESN'T LIE AS MUCH AS SHRIVER, she tries to say that her quotes were "pedagogical explanations" meaning that she was just challenging the students with ironic, contrary viewpoints. But she was approvingly citing to a documentary where violence had been used to get political results.
Adam Shriver is a committed leftist, he's made himself a public figure in the organizing for left-wing causes around St. Louis, and sees this as his personal jihad against the right. To that end, he's willing to lie, obfuscate and twist words, meaning and create distractions to avoid the obvious: these students were being indoctrinated into radical union organizing which made violence casual and lighthearted in order to radicalize them to do anything for the cause.
Judy and Don were never vindicated, but the left-wing noise machine was able to overwhelm the Breitbart team so that the story died the death of a thousand distractions. It's impressive how well they circled the wagons, but it's disgusting the extent to which they'll lie in order to advance their agenda.
The story stands for itself, the video speaks for itself, and the words were never out of context nor were they selectively edited.
Adam Shriver is a damn shrill. We hope Judy and Don at least bought him a beer for all his propagandizing.

Adam Shriver: why are you deleting your posts after May 10?
The STL Activist Hub has been futilely trying to spin the UMKC violence videos, no doubt seeing them as part of some grand right-wing conspiracy. Interestingly, though, the site's author, Adam Shriver, has been deleting recent posts. One accusing Big Government Editor Mike Flynn of lying about the videos,
Granted it would be a great thing for Shriver to see the errors of his ways and delete his entire blog, but his specific redactions smell more of a Soviet historian than they do an honest critic of the tea party.
You can't trust the STL Activist Hub.

Two petitions on behalf of UMSL adjunct labor education professor Don Giljum are now available online, one from UALE (United Association of Labor Educators) and the other from New Faculty Majority. Both address the recent U Mo "Breitbarting" (character assassination by doctored video) incident, with different but overlapping emphasis and target audience. Coordinated campaigns include a letter writing campaign, membership email blitz, blogging and social media coverage. NFM's REINSTATE GILJUM petition is at MoveOn's new petition site, SignOn, http://signon.org/sign/reintstate-adjunct-professor UALE's Defend Labor Education petition is at Care2's The Petition Site, http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/defend-labor-education/. At http://uale.org/responses-attacks-um-labor-studies, Judy Ancel asks that "letters of support for Don Giljum be sent to University of Missouri-St. Louis Chancellor Thomas F. George, chancellor@umsl.edu, copy to Deborah Baldini, Associate Dean for Continuing Education, BaldiniD@msx.umsl.edu, denouncing forced resignation of Don with no investigation, no due process and violation of academic freedom and calling for his reinstatement and rehiring in future semesters." For those wanting to learn more about the issue and review recent media coverage, UALE has a page with links to articles and downloadable statements and other documents, http://uale.org/news-and-statements-about-attacks-labor-studies-university-mo.. Dear H-Laborers Many of you may have heard about the attack on Missouri labor educators by Andrew Breitbart. Below is the news story which indicates the distortion At the moment, it is especially important to put pressure on UM-St. Louis to support Don Giljum, one of the most progressive trade unionists in the area, whose words, like Ancel's were viciously distorted by clever editing. UM-SL has not defended Don's academic freedom. Please take a moment to write a short note to Thomas F. George, Chancellor and send to chancellor@umsl.edu http://www.insidehighered.com/news/2011/04/29/fallout_from_ videos_of_labor_course_at_ university_of_missouri Dear Colleagues, Last week UMSL and UMKC were targeted by Andrew Breitbart, a conservative commentator who has declared his intention to go after teachers and unions. That is his prerogative, but what he did to us is not. He posted sliced and diced videos from the Labor Studies class to make it appear that the instructors, Judy Ancel at KC and Don Giljum at UMSL, were advocating violence. The administration at UMKC responded appropriately, defending academic freedom and objecting to the violation of the students' privacy. UMSL's response, by contrast, has been weak and confused. Instead of defending free speech, UMSL announced (apparently incorrectly) that Don Giljum had resigned and would not be rehired. Don worked hard to establish Labor Studies on this campus, and he has taught as an adjunct at UMSL for over a decade. If he can be forced out by false accusations, anyone can. Soon there will be a petition. The AAUP (American Assoc. of University Professors) press release is attached, and here are links to the news stories. Please circulate and discuss this information. When students voice their views in class, they should not have to fear that their comments will be spread all over the Internet. When faculty members rightly explore difficult topics in class, they should not have to fear for their jobs or their lives. (Death threats to the instructors have been posted on Breitbart’s blog). Quality education in a democracy requires the free and open exchange of ideas by professors and students without fear of retaliation. It requires academic freedom. And it requires safe classroom environments. Those commitments and conditions are at the heart of the American Association of University Professors’ (AAUP) basic principles. In his own words, in a recent appearance on the Sean Hannity show, Andrew Breitbart indicated that he intends to “go after” teachers and unions. That is in keeping with a current environment in which some politicians seek to make a name for themselves by attacking the rights of working people and the work of people whose inherent right (and responsibility) it is to explore a variety of ideas. Breitbart has a right to voice his views; he does not have a right to his own facts. He does not have a right to distort the class in ways that are evident in the video clips and that are detailed by Judy Ancel in her response to the attack. Neither does he have the right to trample on the academic freedom of professors and their students, nor on the privacy rights of students in their classroom work. The AAUP denounces the actions of Andrew Breitbart as compromising academic freedom, quality education, and the rights of students to a safe classroom environment. We call on the University of Missouri, Kansas City, the University of Missouri, Saint Louis and the University of Missouri System to speak out clearly and forcefully in defense of the rights of their professors and students. And we call on all people of reason in the academy and beyond to do likewise. Gary Rhoades AAUP General Secretary

from an ally: KMOX is deleting comments on violence videos threads
So, one of the comments I made on KMOX comment board RE the article shriver linked to said something like
"Kevn [killeen],
where did media matters get the extended footage from? Only two people have the full 30 plus hours of video: breitbart and the university and you know bbart wouldn't give media matters the full footage.
So, it must have been the university. Yet, the university says it can't release the full footage because of privacy concerns. The university NEVER asked the students for their permission for the university to record the footage. So, clearly the university is hiding something and the privacy issue is a red herring.
What is the university hiding? Why wont they release the full footage?"
Media Matters finds a way to blame James O'Keefe for the violence videos
Judy Ancel is an innocent, wrongfully accused bastion of light and truth. James O'Keefe, who had nothing to do with any of this, however, is to be blamed. Media Matters is a sad outlet.

A firsthand account inside the Labor Studies Department
"At least at the end, Prof. Giljum was reasonable enough to deem looting and riots en masse as an ineffective approach to social change. Of course, the professors now point to the few caveats they applied, as above. Still, as I have demonstrated, at various junctures throughout the course, Prof. Giljum proudly endorsed industrial sabotage, the destruction of property, the use of fear and intimidation, and limited violence, “strategically played out.” Prof. Ancel, was delighted when Prof. Giljum told these stories, and shared similar, second-hand anecdotes or histories."
